September Luncheon Presentation: Keeping Alaska Connected: Wildlife, Infrastructure & Transportation

Presented by: Mark Eisenman, Anchorage Area Planner - DOT&PF; Mat Bell, Wildlife Crossing Engineer - Jacobs; Shannon Crossen - Senior Biologist - Jacobs

Join us as we hear about the concept of ecological connectivity and exploring how transportation projects can support the movement of wildlife, fish, and ecological processes while maintaining safe and reliable travel corridors. Through examples ranging from international best practices to Alaska-specific applications, including the Glenn Highway Wildlife Vehicle Collision (WVC) Mitigation Study, attendees will gain insight into how connectivity principles can be incorporated into planning, design, and project development across the state.

Doors open at 11:45 am, Section business begins at 12:00 pm. Please remember to RSVP by EOD Monday, September 14th, for an accurate catering order. If you have any questions about registering, please contact us at contact@itealaska.org.
